Janaki K. Davda

Ms. Davda has been practicing intellectual property law since 1994, specializing in preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the computer and software arts. Ms. Davda has written and/or prosecuted patent applications in various fields, including storage systems, network technology, video processing technology, encryption technology, database systems, storage systems, compilers, printing systems, software development tools, modem and communications technology, operating systems, conferencing technology, and computer architecture. Ms. Davda has also written and/or prosecuted applications directed to business methods, mechanical devices, and electro-mechanical medical devices.
Ms. Davda also has prior experience as Senior Corporate Counsel of EncrypTix, Inc., where she managed the company’s patent portfolio. Prior to entering law school, Ms. Davda was a software engineer at Unisys, Corporation, where she worked in the Operating Systems Department.

William K. Konrad
PATENT ATTORNEY (Non-Equity)
Mr. Konrad, one of the founding members of KRD&V, has over thirty-five years of experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications in a wide range of technologies, principally for Fortune 500 companies in the U.S. and Japan. Mr. Konrad’s practice has focused primarily on semiconductor devices and fabrication equipment, electronic circuits, microprocessor applications, computer hardware, software, and architecture, and controllers for data storage devices and printers. Mr. Konrad has also prepared and prosecuted patent applications for mechanical and electro-mechanical devices including printers and data storage devices.
Mr. Konrad has prepared numerous patent infringement, validity and design-around opinions, primarily in the electronic and computer arts. Mr. Konrad has supervised and participated in the critical preliminary motion phase of an interference in the United States Patent Office, involving semiconductor fabrication equipment technology. Mr. Konrad has prepared and prosecuted numerous third party reexamination requests to invalidate third party patents, again primarily in the electronic and computer arts.

Alan S. Raynes

Mr. Raynes, one of the founding members of KRD&V, has over 25 years of intellectual property law experience, focusing primarily on patent prosecution and client counseling. Mr. Raynes has filed and prosecuted numerous patent applications relating to a variety of technical fields, including the electronic, chemical and mechanical arts, with particular emphasis on semiconductor devices and manufacturing processes, electronic packaging, disk drive devices, biomedical devices, and materials science.
Mr. Raynes has prepared numerous patent infringement and validity studies, and provided client counseling relating to licensing agreements and litigation matters. Prior to becoming a patent attorney, Mr. Raynes worked as a ceramics engineer at the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

Rabindranath Dutta

Dr. Dutta has been practicing intellectual property law since 2002, and specializes in preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the the computer, electronic, software, mechanical and medical device arts. Dr. Dutta has a comprehensive knowledge of most areas of Computer Science, including hardware and software, and Electrical Engineeing.
